Jessica's interest for TV and film started at an early, easily influenced age. Her first job was as an actress. Her producers received a recording of her performing in MMA and also a short clip of her acting. They asked if Jessica could do sword fights and she was able to send them a clip of sword combat. Jessica was able to read the script before recording her first weapons lesson. Jonathan Glassner said that the stunt crew were amazed at the way Jessica performed on her first day of training. Jessica's first time in the United States for a big film character, considering that her previous roles were in Australia. Jessica's martial arts as well as horseback riding skills and athletic abilities enable her to perform stunts embodying the strong woman character.
