Taylor's professional career started on YouTube. Taylor began by making ASMR videos on her phone. PewDiePie featured her in an online gaming video just after she hit 50,000 subs approximately 1 1/2 months after launching the initial video. Taylor quit working on her Youtube channel two months later. There were close to 100,000 subscribers. The main reason was technical issues and the fact she was overwhelmed. Following a long hiatus of about a month, she began making videos again, including the very well-known ASMR 10 Triggers To Help You Sleep (35 million views by the month of August, 2022). ASMR Twenty Triggers to Sleep the video, which became highly popular during July of 2017, is now viewed by over 38 million people as of the 20th of August, 2012. In August 2017, she was featured in the Shane Dawson videoand shortly after she reached 1 million users on YouTube. Wired UK, in its February issue, estimated that she earned $1000 per month through her YouTube channel.

Dennis Helfer, a Canadian farmer, and Elaine Helfer, a Canadian woman was her mother. The couple is from German and English heritage. She attended William E. Hay Composite High School situated in Stettler. She had three sisters. Tammy, Tara, and Trena as well as her worked on the grain farm. In the age of 17 a modeling scout at an agency spotted Helfer when he was waiting in line to enter a cinema.
