Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23rd, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. She is the youngest of five siblings. They include two brothers and sisters younger. The parents of her named her after they believed she could achieve the heights of success. Miley was shortened from Smiley in her youth, which she earned because of her cheerful nature. Her grandfather, a Democratic politician Ron Cyrus, was her paternal grandfather. Cyrus began her education at Heritage Elementary School in Tennessee. Her family relocated from Tennessee to Toronto Canada at the age of eight years old. Billy Ray Cyrus took on an appearance in Doc (2001) as a lead on the TV show. Cyrus took the choice to get into acting around this time. For Doc (2001), she performed alongside her father. Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003), where she starred in the role of a lesser-known character and was a huge success, too. Cyrus appeared as the leading role on Hannah Montana (2006). The story is about an adolescent who has a secret life of a popstar. The father of her character was back along with her. The show went on to become a massive success. Hit records, tours which sold out, and contracts for merchandise came later. Cyrus turned into a teenager-friendly star. Cyrus shifted into new roles after the success and popularity that came from Hannah Montana 2006. She was Ronnie Miller, alongside Demi Moody on The Last Song in 2010 as well as Lola along with Demi in LOL in 2012.
